Preparing For a Winter Move

Hello Winter Moving In Winter
  1. Sort your things out and eliminate what is useless

Moving is a great pretext to do general cleaning and to get rid of all sorts of unnecessary objects that you do not like or no longer use (or never used!). Instead of taking with you everything you have, donate or throw away items that will find no place in your new home.

Start preparing your move in advance

Even if you think it will take you only a little while to pack everything and be ready to move, this process may actually take several days. Therefore, do not postpone the necessary preparations for the last moment; start to pack your things at least one week before the big day.

Pack strategically

Pack each room separately and pay special attention to items that are sensitive to cold. This category includes electronics, which you may not be able to use anymore if you do not properly protect them and avoid keeping them in the cold for too long.

Also, choose carefully the boxes where you put your things. If they are made of cardboard, protect them from moisture by using sheets and bags, otherwise they may not be able to withstand transportation, and things stored inside may be affected.  For great movers, call on Boulder, CO Movers.
