At American Moving, our team actively supports our community. One way we are doing that is through our community support of Move for Hunger. Often when people move, they have a larger number of canned goods and non-perishables that can be donated. Move for Hunger was started for just that reason. When you move with us, American Moving & Storage will help you donate your non-perishable food items and bring them to the local food bank as part of your move.
We are so invested in helping give back that our team members, John and Kio also participate in the Colfax 10 mile run and have raised over $1500 for Move For Hunger organization and counting.

How does it work?
- Set aside your unopened, non-perishable food items
- Use the Move for Hunger boxes to pack up your food and our crew will help deliver it to the local food pantry
- From there, the local food pantry will sort and deliver your donations to local families in need.
What to donate? Pasta, Sauce, Baby Food/ Formula, Dry Beans, Flour, Cereal, Oatmeal, Juice, Rice, Crackers, Cookies, Peanut Butter & Jelly. Canned Goods: vegetables, fruits, stews, soups, beans, tuna, meat.
